What is Bad about you??

Nobody is Perfect in this world.. All of us will have something bad in us when it comes to our characters.. My friend Srinidhi wanted me to find those flaws in our friend's characters and write about the same.. This is just what I feel.. No hard feelings please and sorry if I am wrong.. Here I go,

Let me start off by writing some bad things about me first.. This is me for you,

1) I am a Scorpion( an addict).. I like trying new things, but somehow can't come out of it..
2) I easily trust everyone which might lead to my downfall sometimes..
3) I get into a lot of debts, spend a lot of money and do not know how to manage Money.. ( Trying hard to learn that now though.. Thanks to Nidhi and Navya )..

This list is never ending.. So, I think its time for me now to point out a few flaws in your characters..

Akash - 1) You chumma shout at others without even knowing the true facts sometimes..

Bharath - 1) You think that you are always right and you want others to feel the same.. I know you will be right 99% of the time.. But then, nobody is perfect..

Chethan - 1) You do not keep any secrets( Better you change that soon mate ).. 2) You are less sensible sometimes..

Kumar - 1) You think more than usual before taking any decision..

Khaleel - 1) You love everyone.. 2) You are very short-tempered sometimes.. 3) You assume certain things and get yourselves into trouble..

Kiran Raj and Kiran Kumar - I am not able to find out any flaws in your characters.. Will tell you in person if I find something wrong in you for sure..

Madhu - 1) You get irritated very soon.. People might get some fun in troubling you, but you have to take it in the right spirit and enjoy the moment.. 2) You are a cricket addict( not an enthusiast ) because of which may you neglect your family sometimes..

NDTV recently showed how the life of a newly married couple had taken a beating all because of IPL..

Navya - 1) You quarrel a lot with your parents( Understand that whatever they do is for your good only ).. 2) You find a bug in almost everything( I know thats your job, but then sometimes I feel you over-do your job )..

Nidhi - 1) You get close to everyone very easily and sometimes without even judging them properly.. 2) You become very moody sometimes ( I must say that it has reduced quite a lot now )..

Rajatha - 1)You do not take the comments given by your friends sportively..

Ravi - 1) You take everything and everyone for granted..

Sendhil - 1) You sometimes resist yourself from talking DM.. 2) You are careless sometimes( Still remember that incident where you forgot to send the web.xml file during the final assessment )..

Srinidhi - 1) You trust everyone easily which sometimes might lead to your downfall mate.. So be careful.. 2) You save a lot of money( I must say all ).. Whom are you saving it for?? Common dude, its your money and you have every right to spend it wisely..

Srivatsa - 1) You try to be modern and traditional simultaneously which is weird sometimes.. 2) Your heart wants you to be traditional but your mind thinks otherwise.. I would suggest you to follow your heart..

Sundeep - 1) You irritate your friends sometimes by your behaviour and your dressing sense.. 2)You are very dominant..

Sunil - 1) You take longer than usual to mingle with others.. 2) You are shy sometimes..

Hope all of you agree with me and rectify those mistakes I mentioned( I will rectify mine soon.. No need to worry about that ).. If you have done so, I would be the happiest person in this world..

Kishan Chandranna

When life gets to Dire-straits??

"My life is in dire-straits" means that you are in very dangerous and a precarious situation.. What could one do to come out of it?? This is a very difficult question to answer depending on the context.. But there is way out of everything.. You just have to start searching for the way out..

The feeling what you will be under when you are in dire-straits is exactly similar to what you feel when you are out on an adventurous ride in an Amusement Park or Bungee Jumping and you know your life might be at stake.. But then, in the end you will come out of it being happy right.. Same is the case.. You just have to enjoy being in that feeling knowing you will come out victorious in the end..

Life has many different lessons to offer.. You will learn the most important ones only when you have landed in trouble.. All of these lessons will come at a cost though.. Sometimes, the cost might be less and sometimes more.. You just have to feel that you have paid exactly the cost of the lesson that you have learnt.. Trust me, its really worth it.. Probably, after reading the whole article you might think you have learnt an important lesson.. But, trust me it won't be of much significance unless you have experienced it..

One lesson I have learnt and I want to share with all of you guys - " Money never comes easily.. If you think it will come easily, either someone is trying to fool you or you are trying to fool someone.. Both of them being equally bad.." Only when you work respectfully, will you earn money.. This advice was given by my brother when I was whining over the fact that I have a lot of debts.. I vow a million thanks to him for giving me this advice which I won't forget for the rest of my life..

You have to be really courageous and tough in your decision making to come out of the pit you have fallen into.. As they say - " When the going gets tough, the tough get going ".. Sometimes, it might be better if you wish to go deeper into the pit and learn some more important lessons in life before you get out of it.. My brother wanted me to go deeper since he had experienced the same after paying close to 40k as credit-card late payment fines and had learnt a good lesson..

Once you have come out of the pit you had fallen into, you will have come out fresh and more stronger than ever after learning all the important lessons of life.. You are now a tough guy who can tackle all the problems you might face in future..

One more lesson - " When life throws lemons at you, don't make a lemonade of it.. Just ask for some salt and Tequila.."

Hope you all learn those important lessons that life has to offer by being in dire-straits atleast once.. This is not a curse.. Trust me it's going to be fun.. Cya in dire-straits then..

How I was influenced by my friends??

When you ask a friend "What movies are good to go see?" or "Where should we go to dinner?", you are doing a verbal social search. You’re trying to leverage that social connection to try and get a piece of information that would be better than what you would have come up with on your own..

This is a small example on how you can be influenced by your friends..

Well I had been smoking for over a year at the time, and I knew most of my friends were under the influence of much heavier drugs, and one of my friends really influenced me.. This is an example of your friend spoiling your life.. This shows how someone can be negatively influenced by their friends..

She made me feel as if someone actually cared about me.. She helped me get over my addictions to drinking and smoking.. She helped me keep God in my heart when times were tough.. I could go on.. She is the best.. I don't know where I would be without that girl.. This shows how someone can be postively influenced by their friends..

In the same manner, every friend of ours will have influenced us in some way or the other.. The influences can have a positive or a negative impact on your personal life.. I would like to go ahead and tell you how I was influenced by each of my friends.. Here I go,

Apoorva - I have learnt a lot from him.. His hard-working nature, his commitment, positive and never give-up attitude are the key take-aways that have influenced me in a great sense..

Bharath - This guy is the most influential person I have ever seen.. I am very impressed by his way of looking at life.. His suggestions and opinions about any topic on earth would make anyone impressed.. I still have lots to extract from him though.. Looking forward to learn more from you mate..

Chethan - You can go on teasing him for a life-time, even then this guy would stay quiet and also enjoy along with you.. So, I have learnt to be patient and stay quiet even when the odds are up against you and when things are'nt going your way and enjoy the situation..

Khaleel - I have learnt how to take things as they come and to be positive always.. Thanks to this guy.. To speak about negative influences, he has influenced me in liking guys more than gals..

Madhu - This guy has influenced me in behaving like a professional.. He was the person responsible for me to stop using slangs.. Talking about negative influences again, he made me like him a lot..

Navya - I have learnt to do things the right way.. Thanks to this Madam Perfectionist.. She has made me take less chances/risks in life.. Negatives again, she is one who has made me think a lot now before I take any decision..

Nidhi - She is one from whom I have learnt how to be trust-worthy and how to manage money.. I have learnt how to spend less and enjoy more.. Thanks to her, now that I have learnt how to save 5k every month starting this month..

Srinidhi - I have learnt the most lovely thing in my life - Blogging.. Thanks for that mate.. I am waiting for the right time to learn about being a great family man from him.. Its too early for that now though..

Thanks to all you guys for bearing a positve influence on me.. I hope I had a positive influence on each one of you..

Srinidhi's take on me

Kishan..............

Rather than writing on “when I saw Kishan for the first time, I thought .....” I ll take a side route to write about Kishan.

He is a person synonymous with his blog name. He lives life to the fullest. His attitude towards anything he does has attracted me so much that I try to do something like he does.
Kishan believes in himself than most of the folks in the gang.
He has that confidence and wit that everyone should appreciate. His care free attitude towards certain things and very responsible moves for other things is what makes him stand unique among others in the gang.

I do like to point out his self-respect as he wants to return the money he took from his father. No doubt, he ll do it, may be taking his own time.
He is caring and sharing too, as snatches food from everyone at lunch (!!!).
I see him confident as he knows what he should do, what he is doing, and how to do it. This clear picture in mind is deadly essential in these days.

His way of enjoying life is cool too. With all his Girl friends in his Thunder Bird, he truly the guy enjoying his life to the possible extent. Guys, Life is not one such, where you should come out of safe zones and try out all possible things in life. Be it good or a little bad, don’t care it my frenz.

I see a good business man in him. His planning and the balancing act of various things is an ART. His boldness in decision making is a trait of a business magnet. This is where I see his talent. He needs to nurture it.
I request him to do so.

Srinidhi Kashyap

What would you be 5 years down the line??

After getting the same suggestion from both Madhu and Navya ( what a coincidence ), I decided to write about my perspective on what each of my friends would be after 5 years from now.. I will write whatever comes to my mind.. So, no hard feelings please.. Here I go,

In the year 2013, Imagine we all meet at a get-together party in Inchara again, a long time after meeting each other.. Here is my take on how everyone would come,

Bharath( Project Manager ) - He, along with his wife and their 2 year old son will come in a nice new car of theirs.. All of us fall to his feet after a long time.. His attire would be his usual party wear.. For those of you who would'nt know.. His party wear would be a collared-Tshirt tucked inside his chaddi wearing his nice formal black shoes with white socks.. While his wife would have come in a tradinational nice saree.. And his son who would follow his Dad's footsteps at every stage of his life would have been dressed exactly as his father.. A Junior Chaddi-Swamy in the making..

Chethan ( 100kgs by then )- He, along with his just married chubby wife will come on his splendour.. What a sight that would be?? ( Chubby and Hubby on a splendour ) All of us stare at this nice pair.. His wife would then grab the Menu-Card and start ordering almost immediately.. Just kidding eh.. He would then start off with a song -

Khaleel - He, along with his wife Maha and their son would come on his Karizma as usual with his hair spiked up.. And he starts off with his trademark question to all of us - "I am looking sexy na??" All of us start talking with his son who has his hair spiked up too.. I tell him that is very cute.. His reply would be - " Ya I have heard many girls telling that to me.. You love me na?? ".. I would be stunned.. Junior Rapist in the making..

Madhu - He, along with his female wife ( nice to see that he has changed ) and their son would come in their Ford Icon.. All of us start singing the " Bull bull " song.. He replies by saying " Ivagalu naane target ah?? " His son wearing the Indian cricket team's T-shirt would be practising his cricket strokes.. Already a cricket enthusiast like his father.. Junior Sachin in the making..

Navya - As soon as she comes, she walks straight up to Madhu and occupies the chair beside him and starts bugging him.. Then she comes up to me and asks me whether I have quit my 3 girl friends.. When I tell no, she starts blasting me.. She then starts introducing her boy-friend to all of us.. We all pity the state of that poor guy..

Nidhi - She would come in a black salwar with her trademark boy-cut.. She would have become a real aunty by then.. She chats with all of us for a while and then tries to take out something from her hand-bag.. She starts distributing her marriage invitation to all of us.. All of us are shocked to see its content which says,
Nidhi (Software Engineer)
v/s
Mr.X (Software Engineer)
We cordially invite you for our wedding.. Do join us to share our happiness, as we begin our new life together..
Venue of the Battlefield : Kalyani kalyana mandir..

What kind of person can be your Life-Partner??

After Srinidhi had insisted me on writing about this topic and after knowing that most of you did not have any issues with me writing about this, I am glad to start writing about those who had no issues.. Here I go,

Srinidhi - I somehow feel that your life partner should be someone who is truly opposite to your character.. By that, I mean it has to be someone who has explored the outside world other than just work and family.. Atleast then you will get a chance to explore the outside world and discover something great in you.. I know you have something better in you other than just work and family that can take you places.. Hope you discover that soon..

Madhu - Your partner must and should be a,

1)Cricket enthusiast.. ( I am qualified )
If not, I am pretty sure that he/she will suffer.. Now imagine this case.. What if there is a match between India and Pakistan on the day of your first night?? I seriously want this to happen.. I want to know what you would do then.. I am sure you will watch the match no matter what..

2)Female.. ha ha ha.. ( Here, I am ruled out )
Getting a bit serious now.. I feel that your partner should be someone who has a lot of patience in him/her for you might get very angry about little things in life..

Navya - I feel that your partner must be someone who has seen the outside world unlike you so that he could take you places.. Someone who understands your childish nature and likes it.. Someone who understands your problems.. Lastly, it has to be someone who buys you pani-puri daily..
Hey, how about getting married to the guy who owns a pani-puri shop?? Just kidding eh..

Rajatha - I feel that someone who is very serious,hard-working, sophisticated and determined in life would make an ideal partner for you.. Someone who is an big industrialist could suit you.. Someone who encourages your courage and lets you do things that any other women would'nt dare to..

Nidhi - It would great if you get someone who can understand all your talents as your partner.. He should'nt be too worried about you getting close to people as that is your nature.. Someone who treats you like his friend.. It would be even better if he treats you like a kid.. Someone who understands your feelings.. Lastly, someone who can withstand all your pranks...
Chethan - I know you like girls who are chubby like you.. So, that is one criterion.. Next is that she should be a good cook and someone who knows your appetite.. She has to be a good singer since you like listening to them putting your head on her lap.. Her laps have to be strong enough to hold you right..

Ravi - I feel that your partner has to be very decent and traditional.. Someone who loves listening to your songs.. Be it original or the remixed version of the song.. Someone who can make good home food..

Srivatsa - Your partner i feel should be a true iyengari who is very traditional and can make good puliyogare for you.. Someone who respects you and your family members.. I hope Aaaa falls in this category..

Kiran Kumar - Your partner i feel should be someone who is opposite to what you are.. Atleast then you will get a chance to explore the outside world..

Kumar - I feel only a modern gal or a model would be your ideal partner.. Someone who can beat you when it comes to beauty conciousness.. Try for Sania Mirza's sister dude..

Apoorva - Your ideal partner would be Koneru Humpy, the junior grand-master.. Someone who can beat you in a game of chess.. Someone who lets you do what you like doing and realizes the importance of every move you make in chess and in life..

Sundeep - Your partner should be someone who can withstand your PJ's.. Someone who encourages you when you try out different things.. Someone who lets you be who you are.. And last but not the least, surely someone who likes your weird taste when it comes to your dressing sense..

Sunil - I strongly feel that someone who is like Mrs.Steve Irwin could be your ideal partner.. Someone who encourages your adventurous nature.. Someone who will accompany you in all your adventurous deeds.. Someone who makes you pink..

I hope all of you really get the partner you dreamt of..

I am not mentioning how my partner should be as i am not qualified yet to get married.. Will definitely let you all know when I am..

What is the right time to get married??

Let me start by asking you all a question,
Do you want to get married at some point in your life??

Well, if your answer is NO, I suggest you to stop reading what follows..

Ok.. You said you want to get married right.. Then my next question for you would be..What do you feel is the right time for you to get married??

This might be very difficult for you to answer.. Same is the case with everyone else including me.. But then, I like answering tough questions no matter whether I am right or wrong.. So, I will give a shot at this as well..

Here is my take on the right time to get married.. I feel you should'nt get married until you reach that point in life where,

1) You feel you need a partner.. i.e someone to take care of you..
2) You are confident about yourself in handling all the responsibilities that will land on your shoulders once you get married..
3) You have quit all your bad habits..

If you have reached this point in life, then what are you waiting for?? I guess its time for you to get married..

If you have'nt reached this point in your life yet, ENJOY till you reach that point..

What follows is strictly for those who said NO to marriage and continued to read on.. Strictly for MEN who said NO only..

I have a question for you guys..
What made you feel not to get married??

Your answers might probably look like these,

1) I am happy being alone.. So I want to stay alone for the rest of my life..
2) I do not want to take that extra responsibility of getting married and looking after your wife and children..
3) I don't want to spoil my life by getting married.. I want to be happy always.. I can't stay with one women througout my life..

For those who agree that the first point is the sole reason for you to not get married, I would say that you have'nt reached that point in life where you feel you need someone to take care of yourself and you are not confident in handling the responsibilities that come with marriage..
I would suggest you guys to wait till you reach that point in life.. If you still feel you want be alone even after reaching that point, Go ahead..

For those who agree that the second point is the sole reason for you to not get married, I would say.. Common dude, Be a man.. Take life as it comes, accept all the responsibilities that come your way and deal with them as a man..

For those who agree that the third point is the sole reason for you to not get married, I would say.. Who said that getting married will spoil your life?? It will improve you as a human-being..
Who said that you can't be happy after getting married?? Stop assuming things.. There might be a few cases like that but it need not happen that way with you.. Be positive man..

Now if you are a girl but continued reading even though I suggested you not to.. This proves a point that women do not listen at all.. This is the reason I like women.. This attitude of theirs is going to change your life for the better and add spice to it..

Cheers and Keep Rocking...

Regards,
Kishan Chandranna

Discover the Talent in you

Not long before, I was writing articles on Srinidhi's blog.. It was then that I started feeling good.. I loved writing articles.. After I wrote 3 blogs, all my friends started to like it and gave good comments about the same.. Some did'nt believe that I had written those articles.. Some told me that I wrote like a Professional Blogger.. Some said that I should have started blogging much earlier.. But its better late than never.. After having heard all these comments, I started to believe that I had discovered my hidden talent.. That was Blogging.. Thanks to my friend Srinidhi without whom all these would'nt have been possible..

Everyone will have one or more natural talents hidden within them.. Speaking about hidden talents, how does one discover his hidden talents? The discovery process can be accidental like in my case or it can be deliberate.. The latter being a little tough.. But the point is, how early you discover it in life.. You must be blessed if you could find it a little early in your life.. But once you have discovered it, there is no looking back.. You will have to work on it till you become a professional in that..

All my friends will have some or the other talent within them.. Here is what I think about their talent.. Here I go,

Akash - I think this guy could have become a Pilot.. I was amazed by his driving skills during the Goa trip.. He was being very careful and also at the same time used to lead the pack always.. I hope its not too late Akash.. Hope to see you as a Pilot soon..

Apoorva - Chess master.. I think this guy is blessed to have discovered his talent very early in life.. He must continue playing chess.. Who knows, he might become a GrandMaster one day.. I am waiting for that day..

Bharath - He is one guy I look upto for the right opinion whenever I am in a dilemna.. He is a patient listener and will tell you the right thing to do stepping into your shoes.. He is right almost always.. He can comment on any given topic for hours.. Very Knowledgeable.. Sir, I have got lots to learn from you..

Chethan - I think he can be a great composer.. The way he remixes any given song is simply superb.. He was the composer of the very famous remix - " Aakashang iste yakide yo.. nan nai nan nan nai".. Next one was "Vatsa is in mood.. vatsa is in mood.." Keep going sir..

Khaleel - This guy is truly amazing.. He has the talent of grasping things very fast.. For example, you could show him how to do a dance step and almost suddenly he can do it better than what you did.. Great talent to acquire.. I am certain that he will go places.. But I have one advice for you darling - Control your temper and please for god's sake dont assume things all by yourselves..

Kiran Kumar - This guy can surely be called a Perfectionist.. He gives his 100 percent in whatever he does.. Hardworker to the core.. I have one advice for you sir - There are many things in life that you are missing.. Life is not just a balancing act between work and family.. There are many other things for you to explore.. Probably, you can find your talent there as well.. Who knows whats in store for you there??

Kiran Raj - A great reader of Kannada literature.. I think you have read enough to start writing your own books.. You being very sound in technical stuff also can think about writing books related to them.. I am sure all of your books will be best-sellers one day.. Waiting for that day..

Kumar - I think he could have become a great actor.. He could have been the next Style King after Rajanikanth.. Anyways, you still have time on your side.. So keep trying..

Madhu - I think he could have become a great bowler for India had he continued playing Cricket.. But then, I believe its too late for that now.. Nevertheless, keep practising sir.. Bangalore Royal Challengers might need you for their next stint.. Who knows??

Navya - Apart from her usual drawing and painting talents, she is one person who can find faults in almost anything.. I think she is blessed to have got a job in what she is good at.. Hope you continue to find out more bugs madam.. But then, there are a lot of things you got to learn.. Grow up..

Nidhi - It is very hard for me to pin-point one talent in her for she is a bunch of talents.. She has the talent of getting very close to anyone in this world in a matter of a few minutes.. Be it a security guard or even a CEO.. Please don't change this loveable attitude of yours madam.. Keep going..

Rajatha - Her talent lies in appreciating others and not being selfish.. Way to go madam.. I think you can be a great Manager..

Ravi - A great Kannada enthusiast.. He along with Chethan can do wonders for the Kannada industry which is struggling right now.. We hope to hear some good songs of yours in future instead of the irritating songs such as "Aithalakadi" etc. that are coming up now..

Sachi - I think she is one of the most creative people in our gang.. You can get a taste of her creativity when you listen to her remixed songs or her kavithe's.. Keep this creative spirit of yours going akka..

Sendhil - This guy is simply unbeatable when it comes to double meaning.. I believe, if you join hands with Chethan and Ravi, our Kannada industry can witness some good films like the old one's in which Jaggesh starred.. It would be great..

Srinidhi - I think this guy can turn out to be a great family man.. But I have one advice for you sir - There are many things in life that you are missing.. Life is not just a balancing act between work and family.. There are many other things for you to explore.. Probably, you can find your talent there as well.. Who knows whats in store for you there??

Srivatsa - I admire his talent when he says he delivered a baby in 9 days.. Just kidding ah.. Riding his bike at 100kmph with someone greater than 100kg behind him might be next talent.. Kidding again.. Getting serious now.. He is very good in networking with others.. He is in touch with all of his friends( older friends included ) even now.. Oh man, is'nt that great.. I am overwhelmed by the fact that he would be in touch with all of us for long.. Keep it up dude..

Sundeep - This guy has this "Go for it" attitude.. Likes to do things in a different way.. Does what he likes most.. Does'nt care about what others might think.. Sir, you have got the right attitude to go places..

Sunil - This guy is a great adventure freak.. Likes to visit adventurous places.. This is what every young chap would love doing but that interest keeps fading away as he gets older.. I do not want this to happen to you.. I want you to keep this as your passion even as you get older.. Who knows we might see a new Steve Irwin in you..

Memorable trip to "GOA"

After a lot of planning, me and my eleven friends started our journey to the place where all the bachelors wish to visit once in a year ( Go Goa ).. We all left office at 4 to go home, pack our bags and catch the bus( the so called Airavatha ) at 7.30pm.. I reached home by 4.30 and started to pack my bag as it was getting late.. I finished my packing in 15 mins and was waiting for Kumar who had told he would come to my house and we both would leave to the bus-stand together..

Finally Kumar came and we both reached the bus-stand at 7 to be greeted by Sunil, Srinidhi, Sundeep etc.. We all sat together and waited for the rest of our friends to turn up.. They started coming one after the other.. Finally, it was Akash's turn and all of us errupted to sing the theme of Goa -

"Aakashang iste yaakide yo... nan nai nan na nai...
Hakode kasta aagide yo... nan nai nan na nai..."

This song which was started there was repeated seamlessly atleast every half hour till we finished our Goa trip..

It was then time for us to board the so called AC bus.. Then came the song again.. By this time, my dear friend Akash was trying to accept the fact that this is going to continue throughout the journey.. After an hour of chatting, it was time for most of us to take a nap.. Then suddenly i started "Aakashang iste yaakide yo..." which woke up everyone and they all started laughing.. I completed the song by singing "nan nai nan na nai..." after 10 mins as my reaction time had gone low.. Sorry Akash..

After having stopped for dinner, we all took a nice nap and when we all woke up, we were shocked to see our friend Srivatsa puking. Wonder what Kumar( who was sitting beside him all night ) did to him.. That was when the "Nusi Kumar" story started rolling..

Finally, we reached our destination - GOA at 10am, and it was time for us to go to our hotel rooms.. So, all of us started to think how we should all go there.. By bus or cab.. After having a lot of arguments, we decided to take a Qualis.. So, there were 13 people all together including the driver.. To make matters worse, we had to carry our luggages too.. Imagine 13 people in a Qualis with their huge luggages..

We reached our hotel "Anup Holiday Homes" after a tiring journey.. It was there that one more incident happened.. Madhu had lost his bag and he started to scream at us.. Then all of us went out in search of it.. Thank God, we found it.. Otherwise we all were in for a blast from him.. It was time for us to get ready and go to the Calangute Beach.. After all of us got ready, it was time for us to have lunch and head towards the beach.. We all shopped, had our lunch and walked to the beach in traditional Goa style with our hats and shades on..

We reached the beach and most of us decided to go on the Banana ride where in you will be taken in a boat around 2kms into the deep sea and then you will be in to experience the shock of your lifetime.. You will be dropped in the middle of the sea.. Then comes the fun part of it.. All of us would then run for cover and their would be a sudden rush to get onto the boat again.. The faces of my friends said it all.. To make matters worse, my friend Chethan was left behind and he had to come back all by himself..

It was time and we all left to our hotel to get fresh.. Since our hotel had a swimming pool, we all decided to plunge into the water so that we could save time.. We all then set out to have dinner and came back to the hotel and started to play cards for the rest of the night..

As the next day began, a few of us started to make plans as to what we should do today.. We decided to take a few bikes and go to the Arambol Beach.. After a long search for the bikes, we headed towards the beach on our bikes.. We had a very good time there after playing a game of Volleyball.. We decided to leave the place and it was now time for a Drag Race and as usual Akash was upto it..

We then decided it was party time and started to get ready to go to the very famous disco named "Tito's".. This was when all my friends started doing their weird hair-styles.. All set for the party, was Bharath in his very famous attire.. wearing shorts with a collared black T-shirt tucked in.. Bharath Sir, I think we were going to a disco right??

We finally reached Tito's after getting drenched in the rain and were shocked to see the board "Only couples allowed.."

So we decided to have dinner in a nearby hotel and take a stroll on the beach.. At this moment, Srinidhi and Madhu were having a private talk.. Later we came to know that they were planning to get into the disco ditching all of us.. As we had'nt had a Enne session yet, me, Chethan and Ravi decided that today was the day.. So, we all rushed to get the bottles and reached our hotel to start the much awaited Enne session.. All of us had fun boozing the whole of that night..

The next day, we had decided to shop but to our astonishment, we found that most of the shops were closed due to the occasion of Holi.. So, we then headed towards the Aquada Fort in a Swaraj Mazda.. It was a nice spot for us to take snaps.. After having spent about an hour there, it was time for us to have lunch and go out hunting for those few shops that were open as we had promised a lot of gifts to our friends.. We could'nt find anything interesting to buy except for goggles.. I pity my friend Khaleel who had to finally settle for a Ladies Hand-Bag to gift his girl friend after having found nothing interesting.. We did'nt give up even though it was raining and we were on the look out for more open shops.. After shopping, we then decided that it was time for dinner and rush to catch the train..

After settling inside the train, we started playing cards.. We played for not long than an hour and decided to take a nap.. In the morning, after we woke up, there was one more incident waiting for us.. Some Hijra's entered the train to ask for money.. When they were about to come near us, most of us including me ran for cover.. I climbed up to the top most seat and pretended to be sleeping.. Thank God I escaped.. As we all started to comment about the incident, we had almost reached the Bangalore Railway Station.. It was time for all of us to head back to our respective homes after having spent almost 3 fun-filled days together..

I thought it was now time for the final round of singing...

"Aakashang iste yaakide yo... nan nai nan na nai...
Hakode kasta aagide yo... nan nai nan na nai..."

This trip had made all of us to understand each other better.. We were a lot closer than we were before inspite of many spats and mis-understandings that we had.. I rate this trip as one of my favourites.. Looking forward to many such trips with you guys.. And gals, hope you join us next time around...

Life on The Bench

During the boom time, being on bench was a non-issue for consultants because of greater opportunities for placement due to the greater demand for IT skills.

Is it the same anymore??

You might think "Well probably not". My answer to this would be a strict "NO" as many of them including me are on bench. If this being the case, then why do companies recruit people and pay them even if they are'nt doing anything worthwhile. Probably, because they expected something coming in their way. It does'nt matter whether you were put on the bench intentionally or unintentionally but once you have landed there, your state can only be sympathized.

So, what do people do while on bench??

This seems to be a very difficult question to answer. People might play games, watch movies etc. Doing all these might be a good way to pass time, but for how long? Probably for a week or even a month. What after that? What would be your growth in the company compared to others who are into a project? Nothing, right.

That’s when I thought I should do something worthwhile. Be it, improving your technical skills or improving your communication skills. I chose the latter one and I started Blogging which happened to be so interesting and addictive. Blogging can improve your language and also your knowledge about many things. In the end, you feel somewhat relaxed after doing something worthwhile.

I would like to thank my friend Srinidhi here for creating his blog and allowing me to blog there. My life on bench is better now compared to what it was before I started blogging. Thanks to Srinidhi. Without him, all these would not have been possible.

Hoping to get into an interesting project soon...

Life without a girl friend

This is what my friends told me when i was whining over the fact that i have'nt found a girl friend even after being 23 years of age..
1) "Patience always bears the fruit. Keep waiting, your turn will come soon"..
2) "God thinks that people like you will be happier without a girl friend than otherwise"..

I think the second one is better and is really the case with me. So what if you could'nt find a girl friend? I chose to look out for altenatives - like your bike being your girl friend and treating it likewise. This is what i have done. I jotted down three things( i mean non-living things ) in life that i like most,
1) My Bike. ( Royal Enfield Thunderbird )
2) Cigarette.
3) Drink.
I have made these my girl friends and would like to treat them that way..Now, i can safely change the topic of my talk to "Life having 3 girl friends" right??

I have decided that at any point in my life, i can have a maximum of 3 girl friends and not more than that.. Now, what if i could get a genuine girl friend??( Staying positive always.. ha ha ha )The answer is simple.. I can accomodate my new girl friend only if i divorce one of my 3 girl friends..
Now another question is popping up in my mind.. i.e.. what if i have to accomodate one more girl friend( here, a non-living thing )?Well, the answer remains the same.. That is, i divorce one of my girl friends to accomodate my new one..
I want this swapping of my girl friends to go on till the list of my 3 girl friends looks like this,
1) My Bike. ( Royal Enfield Thunderbird )
2) My Girl Friend. ( a living thing of course )/ My Wife ( if i am so unfortunate that i could'nt find a girl friend )
3) My Car. ( Honda Civic ).
I want my list of 3 girl friends to look like this after 5 years.. And this would be my permanent list having no more swaps or changes and i would want it to be eternal..
